Recommended by a friend, i tried my hands on this Food Delivery Option Jodha Akbar, i ordered from appetisers section of menu, the delivery was on time, food packaging was good and beautiful.
What i had and how it tasted:
Dahi ke kabab & Hara bhara kabab - The kebab was stuffed properly and were soft taste was mouthwatering.
Paneer malai tikka: It was delicious soft large paneer pieces perfectly marinated with flavours.
Tandoori murg was also prepared well and tastes well with green sauces provided along with it, chicken pieces were juicy and nicely coated in masala, it was really toothsome in flavours.
Salad, raita, green chutney were provided along with spoons and tissue.
Service was prompt, food was delicious, quality and quantity was appropriate, all in all i was pleased.
Been to this great place for a lunch. And came out satisfied! Starting from the decor it's great, the multicoloured theme was up to the point, from curtains to show cases. To keep the theme to it's ancient name they have menu written on a scroll which is quite fascinating and different. Moving on to the food they had some great starters. Perfectly spiced dahi k kebab were delicious for the price. Spring rolls were really good, also had a great portion. Among the mocktails, black current was my favourite, sweet with a punch of lime. Perfectly made and presented. Guava marry had a punch of guava mixed with soda to make come up really well.
Among the main course the best we had was dal Makhni, dum aloo and murg masala. Each of these were perfect. Not so spicy either. Everything had enough quantities too. Among the desserts gulab jamun with ice cream was great, some hot gulab jamun with vanilla ice cream drizzled with chocolate syrup was the best dessert. To sum up i would say this place great for a family lunch or dinner. The crowd is good too. This place has great decors accommodated with some real good music.
Overall: 4.5/5
Food: 4.5/5
Ambience: 5/5
Crowd: 5/5
Jodha akbar. The name reminded me of the huge Mahal where Hrithik is walking with Aishwarya. The decor was similar to that era only. Lighting, cute designs of the windows and the best part was the Menu. It was written in a scroll. Totally loved it. Also, the background music was very soothing. In short, i was in love with the Ambience. Now it was time to check the food.
We started off with the Mocktails -
Fresh Lime Soda - The tanginess is what it makes such a good drink.
Black Current fizz - Tangy, sweet - liked the drink.
Hawwaiian Blonde - looked so pretty, but was too sweet to handle.
Guava Mary - A little spicy. Personally not a fan of Guava. Hence a no no for me.
Coming to the Starters, we had -
Spring roll - Crispy. That's how it was.
Dahi ke Kebab - Not the softest Dahi ke kebab but tasted good.
Tandoori Lollipop - Something new in the menu. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside.
Hara Bhara Kebab - Very soft and Delicious.
After the tasty starters, we moved on to the Main Course -
Shahi Dal Makhni - Thick Dal makhni can lift your mood and this one did.
Kashmiri Dum Aloo - Can be tried if you're looking for something different.
Subze Korma - This was one good dish to try. All sorts of veggies prepared together which tasted quite good.
Murgh Masala - The masala of the gravy was lip smacking. Totally loved it.
Paneer Makhni - Creamy and tasty.
After the delicious Main Course, it was time to end it with some Desserts -
Gulab Jamun with ice cream - A small glass with ice cream in it and topped up with Gulab jamun. Do you need anything else?
Shahi kheer - The Shahi kheer didn't taste so Shahi to me. Tasted average.
Overall - A great place to try some authentic Mughlai food and go backin time and come back satisfied. Loved the place!
